شرکت فنلاندی اچ‌ام‌دی گلوبال، امروز به‌‌شکل رسمی از گوشی میان‌رده نوکیا ۷ رونمایی کرد. در ساخت این مدل، از ترکیب شیشه و آلومینیوم استفاده شده است و همین موضوع باعث شده پنل پشتی گوشی میان‌رده جدید نوکیا، براق باشد.
مدل میان‌رده نوکیا ۷ به یک نمایشگر ۵.۲ اینچی از نوع LCD مجهز شده است که رزولوشن فول اچ‌دی دارد؛ رزولوشن صفحه‌نمایش، ۱۹۲۰ در ۱۰۸۰ پیکسل و نسبت ابعاد آن ۱۶ به ۹ است. در زیر قاب گوشی از تراشه اسنپدراگون ۶۳۰ کوالکام استفاده شده است که هشت هسته پردازشی Cortex A53 قدرت پردازشی آن را تأمین می‌کنند؛ واحد پردازشگر گرافیکی آدرنو ۵۰۸ نیز برای چیپ‌ست اسنپدراگون ۶۳۰ کوالکام در نظر گرفته شده است. میان‌رده جدید نوکیا ۷ در دو مدل ارائه شده است؛ نسخه‌ی پایه این گوشی مجهز به ۴ گیگابایت رم، با برچسب قیمت ۲۴۹۹ یوآن (معادل ۳۷۷ دلار) به فروش خواهد رسید و مدل دیگر با ۶ گیگابایت رم، ۲۶۹۹ یوآن (معادل با ۴۰۷ دلار) قیمت دارد. در هر دو مدل، تنها ۶۴ گیگابایت حافظه داخلی وجود دارد که می‌توانید آن را افزایش دهید.
در پشت گوشی، اچ‌ام‌دی گلوبال از سنسور ۱۶ مگاپیکسلی با دریچه دیافراگم F1.8 استفاده کرده است. فلاش LED زیر دوربین اصلی قرار گرفته است که تصویربرداری در محیط‌های کم‌نور را امکانپذیر خواهد کرد. سنسور ۵ مگاپیکسلی در حاشیه‌ی بالای نمایشگر گنجانده شده است که برای عکاسی سلفی و برقراری مکالمه‌های تصویری کاربرد خواهد داشت. قابلیت Dual Sight به کاربران اجازه می‌دهد به‌صورت همزمان با دوربین سلفی و اصلی، عکس و فیلم بگیرند؛ نوکیا این تصاویر را که با دوربین اصلی و سلفی گرفته شده است، «Bothies» می‌نامد.
یک باتری با ظرفیت ۳۰۰۰ میلی‌آمپر ساعت برای گوشی میان‌رده نوکیا ۷ در نظر گرفته شده است. جک ۳.۵ میلی‌متری صدا را نیز می‌توانید در مدل میان‌رده نوکیا ۷ پیدا کنید؛ درگاه یواس‌بی نوع سی در لبه‌ی پایین صفحه‌نمایش جای گرفته است. گوشی نوکیا ۷ با سیستم‌عامل اندروید ۷.۰ نوقا ارائه خواهد شد؛ اما این مدل به اندروید اوریو به‌روزرسانی می‌شود. گوشی مذکور در تاریخ ۲۴ اکتبر (۲ آبان) در چین عرضه خواهد شد و در حال حاضر، فروش این مدل به بازار چین محدود شده است.
